I had the privilege to hunt with Rick Wolvaardt and his keen willingness and passion for hunting and the game was a true testament.
During my time with Rick he demonstrated many excellent fine-tuned qualities which can only be gained from time well spent in the field, as well as his exceptional ability for hospitality and making everyone in camp feel warmly welcome. On several occasions I witnessed this where Rick went well above and beyond to ensure the all clients were having the trip they had dreamed. His knowledge of the animals and surrounds was astonishing. His ability to be able to track and find game was something I truly marveled at and was demonstrated multiple times throughout each hunt. Rick has ability to find worthy trophies that both hunter and PH were proud of. I was successful in taking over 20 trophies whilst being guided by Rick and each one was its own adventure. He never missed a trick and always paid close attention the finer details.
Rick demonstrated the upmost professionalism during our hunts, he was attentive, active and very honest when it came to judging game. He is always up for a laugh and we always had a good time.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Rick to anyone wishing hunt in Africa.
